Hummingbird Learning Online was founded on a simple belief: every child has the ability to learn, grow, and soar. They just need the right support to get there.
We provide personalised, one-on-one online lessons for South African primary school learners from Grade 1 to Grade 7, covering all CAPS-aligned subjects. No matter what a child is struggling with, whether it's cracking maths concepts, building reading confidence, or tackling Afrikaans, we meet them exactly where they are and guide them forward at their own pace.
Beyond South Africa, we also offer TEFL-certified English as a Second Language lessons for children and adults worldwide, helping students build real communication confidence in a warm, supportive environment.

Our educators bring years of hands-on experience working with primary school learners across all CAPS subjects. Our team holds a Bachelor of Education degree (4-year professional teaching qualification), a Further Diploma in Learners with Barriers to Learning and Development, and a TEFL certification for teaching English as a foreign language to students of all ages around the world.
Lessons are always friendly, patient, and structured around the individual child. Never a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach. We believe in building confidence as much as building knowledge.
